The Boswell Pioneer Track and Field teams traveled to Brewer for the annual Brewer Bear Relays Thursday, February 25th where both girls and boys did well for the second time this season.The Varsity guys won their second team title in 2 weeks and girls were runner up.
The girls were led by, Tania Lee, for a second week with 3 gold medals in both sets of hurdles and the triple jump. Tania also ran a leg on the medaling, 4 x 200m relay. Other relay members were; Tateanna Tarkington, Joslyn Carrillo and Senior Captain, Shelby Jasso. Natalie Smith brought in 2 medals as well, in the 400m and first in the 200m.
The men's teams were led by Captains; Jonel Reed in the high jump and 400 as well as, Anthony Ramirez on the medaling 4 x 200m relay. Relay members for the 4 x 200m consisted of; Treyvon Reeves, Chris Delgado, and Jalen Seals. Darian Ingram pulled in a medal in the 200m, as well as, Conner Stouder in the 2 mile. However, the highlight of the night was a another school record broken by nationally ranked Pioneer, Jalen Seals, in the triple jump as he sailed to a 49 feet 6 1/2 inches jump breaking his own school record set last year by 2 feet.
