The Boswell track qualilfier competed Friday and Saturday in Austin at the Texas Relays. Jonel Reed and Jalen Seals competed in the high jump, who finished 13th out of 27. The night then became about the runners and the undefeated men's mile relay who placed 23 out of 94. Of the teams, 21 that finished in front of Boswell were from 6A districts. Looking at only 5A division schools, Boswell finished 2nd only to 3rd overall finishing Lancaster. This relay team consisted of Reggie Macon, Tyrell Fisher, Jared Webster, and current school record holder in the 400, Isaac Marquez. Isaac also split off a (48.25) for a season high and personal best record. The girls distance medley relay followed the boys with a great 16th place finish out of 43 teams. Those runners were, UTA bound, Penny Taylor, Katie Hess, Maddi Warren, and anchored by, Texas State commit, Sarah Arroyo. These girls came back the next day to compete in the 4x800 relay and a great effort to a (10:06) time and finish. Tyrell Fisher and Jalen Seals returned to action Saturday as well for the triple jump with respected marks as well.
The entire track team will travel to Keller this Thursday and test themselves against some good local competition, good luck Bos and way to go!
